Dream #18
Summary:
I was at some sort of wooden round almost tree-like house except it was on the ground and I think it was in Benson back in Johnston County. I had to head back to Four Oaks and my sister was there and had driven separately in the old Jeep (that used to be hers, then it was mine for a year in high school). I wanted to drive it home for old times' sake. I got on 301 and started back, it was night, and when I got about halfway in the country I got the the bottom of a hill and there were two trees fallen over the road. One was propped up on the other so that I could drive under it on the left-hand lane and get by. I remember seeing headlights of other cars waiting on the other side, or so I thought, they were kind of reddish. When I drove through to the other side there was a man in a top hat on my left with a big ornate horse and carriage set up. He was looking at me. I looked to my right and saw even more carriages on my other side. Then I realized they were misty white and I was seeing ghosts. This really excited me, and then I looked and saw that the road was littered with ghosts, walking, on horseback, and in cars from all different eras. It was as if I had slipped into a cross-world of some sort. I could drive through them, and had to on several occasions. When I got to four oaks there were more crowds of pedestrians. I remember thinking it was harder to distinguish the shapes of the people than the cars, they were all bleeding into each other in large mobs. At one point I saw what appeared to be a whole parade of ghosts turning a corner in town. I drove through an old 1950s Chevrolet as it turned into me on one street. I was seeing the ghosts of pretty much everything. The funny thing is, I wasn't scared. I was just really, really amazed.
Influences: Other than having seen Ghost Hunters recently, I don't have much. I went home this past weekend to see it. I also got a text from my sister today, maybe that's how she ended up in it. A long time ago I got the idea for a ghost standing in the middle of 301 when I was on my way home at night - and it freaked me out because I thought about driving through it. That was a long time ago thought and I haven't thought about it recently. This took place during a nighttime nap.
Overall Mood:
Wooooah!
